This is quite an interesting image, Peter. I find it visually confusing like an optical illusion.

Ah. To me, the dark cluster of small human figures looked like bones in a skeleton's fist. It took me a while to see it differently, and when I look at the picture, it is still the first way that I see it. :)

I am trying to see it the way you described it to me but i fail to see it that way :) it is an interesting point of view nonetheless! must be something I am not conscious about...in it i see the small parts that make up the whole and not the other way round
P.
P.S. hope you found something interesting in the images i uploaded. i see many references to the Tarot in them...they are all part of a process that ultimately led me to design the Rotin deck the way I did.

Hi Peter. Like Debra, the fist is how I first saw this image. The palm is upwards and the little mannikin's head at the top is part pf the thumb, which is bent inwards. The wrist and arm are at the right of the picture, under the drawing hand. The bones are a muddle.
These are all most interesting - a glimpse perhaps into influences on and development of ideas. I especially love the owl...

Oh thank goodness.

Hi goldenweb,
I can understand what you are telling me but i cannot see it that way...i guess when one has a certain way of looking at something, then it is difficult to switch the point of view and see it in another way. It could also be because i'm used to seeing the original, and the visual impact is different from the pic i placed here.
Thanks,
Peter

In the link above you can find an interview I gave to Heru Jerome, a Manhattan based Tarot, Oracle and Crystal reader, about the Rotin Tarot.
