I have just come across The Electronic Republican Tarot Deck created in 2007 by Mariann G. Wizard. This is available as a free download from http://www.lulu.com/content/1295282 and you get a pdf file which you can print out and cut up to make up your own deck. It is a hilarious spoof wherein the Eternal Mysteries of the Tarot are "channeled" by cartooned Republicans past and present. NIXON as DEATH, REAGAN as THE EMPEROR, GEORGE "DUBYA" BUSH & Family in the SUITE of BUSHES, CONDI RICE as LADY of ARMS and much more! Attachment: Republican_tarot.jpg (Downloaded 124 times) |

Not only the idea. The images are hideous too. So the deck is perfectly consistent....that's nice, eh? |

I was referring to the visual appearance of the images in the electronic deck. |

As so often happens I seem to have lost the plot. I am a bleeding heart liberal and extremely proud of it, but this is a revolting deck in every possible way, and I want one. ![]() But IMHO any political deck is a truly hideous idea. That isn't to say they shouldn't be created, just that cans of worms are pretty horrid and designed to engender dissent and.... That's what politics is all about. Setting one person against another ;) *plots a British New Labour deck all of a sudden. Now that WOULD be hideous. And totally illiberal - though I would love to make a few hearts bleed within it. And no apologies to anyone in the UK* Please don't ban me; I might be good tomorrow..... And pigs might fly. |
