I'm uploading some photos of individual cards I've been working on for a majors only collage deck. It's called Taschen Tarot because the backgrounds are from various Tachen postcard books.  There's a little bit of everything in them....hence the "Kitchen Sink" designation! :D  Right now I also have alternates for a few of the majors.

My current avatar is the Tower card from the Taschen Tarot.

This is one of the Death cards.

I agree with Debra. I also like Death #3 the most. And the High Priestess is wonderful in composition. That is my favorite card in every deck :gi, so of course I am very critical of that one. But this one is wonderful, makes me really see another aspect of the HP again:ok.

The first death card is the best. And I love the fact that you have so many water pourers in temperance! The priestess also looks nice in that visionary retro way. I had an idea when I was viewing your cards so I went to PS and made them monochrome. They ended up looking surprisingly seamless, especially the Priestess and Temperance, so you might want to consider that when you're finished with them all. Good luck with this project. :)

Thanks so much for all the encouragement! I just sort of muddle my way through, not being an artist like so many of you here.  :?

I actually have 22 cards completed, with alternate versions of several cards.

1st or 1st alternative death, but I like the guy on the steps on the 3rd!
Love Temperance!  Hate the Wheel (it has a spider, yuck, yish, euw, kill it, kill it)  High Priestess is pretty cool too.

I wondered where your avatar came from, I really like it and would like to see a larger version.  Actually, I would like to see them all, in my hands. :bl  he-he-he

Toscano tarot? ??  Another one I am missing! :?  Any pix?

Well, now you've gone and done it!!:D

I am in the process of printing a LE of 50 copies of the Taschen Tarot; should be available in about two weeks. The cards will be poker sized.  The deck consists of 30 cards - 29 Majors, including all of the alternates I did for some of the cards, and 1 title card.  Comes in an organza bag. I don't have a final cost yet, but I'm estimating in the $30-35 range.

If there's enough interest, I'm considering doing a larger run of the Toscano Tarot in the future. :m

Please let me know if you are interested in a copy of the Taschen Tarot.

Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in seeing the Taschen Tarot become an actual deck - I'm holding one in my hands right now! :D  I'm really pleased with how they came out!

The deck consists of 30 cards (29 plus a title card). It includes alternates of Strength, Justice, Death, Temperance, and the Tower. It is a limited edition of 100 sets, and the cost is $35 per set, plus shipping. I will try to provide a reasonable estimate for shipping, both within the US and internationally.

I will take some photos tomorrow and post them here for all to see.

Here's the list I have so far, by order of request:

Thanks!!!  Yes, please send me your mailing address. I haven't gone to the post office yet, so I'm not sure how much shipping is - max of $5, I would guess.

My Paypal address is: lance@plaiddragon.com. (Cash funded only)

US Checks are OK too.

Please let me know once you send, and I'll refund the difference in postage if $5 is too much.

FYI - I checked the domestic postal rates online, and it looks like the flat rate is $4.95.

For international, I'll need to check by individual country, because it varies.

Thank you. :D

The card backs are from an electronic file I downloaded off a pay-to-use website.  It looks just like an old book, and I really liked how it worked with the deck, so when I had the cards printed I had them add the deck title into the existing title block.  I'm really pleased with the result!
