Me, too.   I am so very disappointed - but you know - I've forgotten all about her and her deck.

What I can't understand is the fact that she still is accepting money for a "deck in progress" .   Whatever happened to responsibility and integrity?  I can't even remember when I received her last card (???) Nor can I remember WHICH card it was.

She is fading from my Tarot memory.

I shall email.

Again.

If I JUST had the Chariot, I'd have the majors....

Her method was flawed. Her artwork is so detailed and thought out that she cannot just rush off another card image in an afternoon or two. Her artwork is so very good that I think we are getting a great bargain. I am sure she is losing money by sending each of her original purchaser a card one at a time. She is paying us now for her tarot deck.

I cannot remember what I originally paid her. It was quite a few years ago, but I think we have all got quite a bargain for her artwork, and An-Magrith Erlandsen has lost quite a bit of money sending out the cards one at a time. Like others I think she should just complete the Majors and move on to some other project. I feel sure she regrets issuing the deck before it was complete. But it is great artwork and I would even settle for the present incomplete deck. It is a unique method for selling a deck. That alone should make it very collectable.

Anyone who does not yet have a deck (even in its incomplete state) should consider buying one in case it disappears entirely.

She has told me several times - over 6 months - that the Chariot is almost finished. An almost finished card shouldn't take a year.

I too think it was a weird way to do this, and wish she would complete the majors. I would happily settle for that (I paid $50, incidentally.)

And I have an answer:

Sorry it's taking sooo long! But The Chariot is coming along great, the face is finished. It's looking good! I'm super busy with performing a lot lately which = practice practice practice, plus a two year old! I'm performing in the New Orleans Fringe festival Nov 20-21st. I integrate my Tarot deck in my performances, I've posted some on my video library page on my website if you want to check them out. Well, thank you for your patience. I know it's the last Major Arcana card so it's a "big step for mankind" in my life and my fellow journeyers! After this month will be able to finally focus less on performing and more on my painting. I'm aiming to have it finished by the end of Dec for the new year as it's going to be unveiled in a show in January! Thanks for your continued interest and support!!
OK ? (not immediate - but - coming !)

Yes indeed. NOW it kind of - doesn't matter that much any more; the deck is complete in ONE way. But if she is going to take this long over every card I will be long in my grave before it's fully completed.... :sd

(Nicole, did you get yours ? Mine arrived yesterday...)

I am happy to just have the Majors.

It was a crazy idea of An-Magrith to issue the cards in this way. One can understand why she did this, but it will cost her more to post one card at a time than she originally charged for the deck.

Her artwork is very good. So anyone who did not subscribe to the deck earlier, can now, I presume, buy at least the full set of Majors.

I've got mine too  !!  :hp

In a thin envelope with no support, so its demaged (bended, etc) but at list I have the Majors now.

Very nice card BTW, I really like it!

It looks like she is going to publish a majors only:
She talks about 24 cards. Shouldn't we get than the 2 new major cards? (maybe we will)

quote from her website:

'Check back again soon for a new bigger Tarot deck of all 24 Major Arcana only!!
If you are interested in my "Tarot deck in progress" please contact me!'

So your drawing may look like this now:
(hope you don't mind that I touched it)

I think she's just weird. But at least we have all the majors :)

I shall never again buy a deck put out in this way.

I do kickstarter but not indiegogo. THIS one was something else, though. A weird way to send it out - but I think it MIGHT made worked if she hadn't had a baby. The end of time to work on it...

Hello,

sorry for the slightly off topic and maybe indiscreet question, but why not indiegogo ?
Kickstarter seems fine, but it's extremely expensive and complex to use it for a non U.S. citizen.
There are similar european or french crowfunding websites, but I wouldn't mind using them as they have such a reduced visibility - have you only heard about kisskissbankbank or babeldoor ?

Why not indiegogo ? Because - kickstarter doesn't take backers' money until the project is fully funded. If it doesn't hit the target -= no money changes hands. This means a good chance of it happening. With Indiegogo the money is (or was last time I looked into this !) passed on as soon as a pledge is made. So you risk a project that gets - say - 25% funded and never completed and never had a chance in hell of being completed. And all the backers lose their money. Sure that can happen with kickstarter too - but if the project starts out with all the money it needed to raise - there[s less chance of collapse.

Why is it so pricey for non US people ?

I think I understand the difference now, I just checked their website : there are two kinds of projects on indiegogo, the ones with "flexible" funding (the steal you're speaking of) and the ones with "fixed" funding - like kickstarter's. This isn't very well explained on their website though.

Kickstarter is open to people with an US social security number or US entities only, hence a foreigner has to create a corporation in the US ($500 or so) in order to get all taxes stuff and all... and have a postal address there. It makes the process pretty complicated. Or one has to have a straw(wo)man in the US, but when money is at risk this can be pretty.

This may be interesting for a six figures number funding plan, but for most tarot related stuff, it's way too expensive.

You have a project there. Rylla ? Anyone from anywhere can support, but to set up your own project, I gather it is US only basically, because of tax issues.

Great! Good to see she is working on it. Taking into consideration the speed she is advancing, there is one exciting question: what will happen first: will she finish it before I'll be dead? :-)

Yes, he is here. And very lovely he is too and what it is so.

Her work is lovely, I have to say. I wish I thought I'd have the full deck before I die... but at this rate I'd have to live to 120 or something.
