My second deck and may I live long enough to finish it and do a third :)

The Majors are done at least and will be published. The art files are sent to the printers.

I am aiming for these to be available in two versions on Sept 25th. EDITED TO ADD: it looks like Sept 29th now; I will post as soon as I know exact time.

Then I can go back to work on the minors, but right now am working on packaging.

It has Thoth based titles and attributions on the cards but no roman numerals. I was going for a spare look with the borders.

The art for the majors is done on frosted mylar with permanent marker then painted with colored india ink. It has taken almost three years to get this far! I hope it does not take proportionally as long to make it a 78 card deck, but who knows? Depends if I work faster I guess. I hope to!

The Majors will be postcard size 4x6.25 inches, with rounded corners. If I finish all 78 cards I will do a smaller deck for that.

The color version of the cards has the attribution symbols of the Hebrew letter on the left and the alchemical or zodiacal symbol on the right, done in silver foil. For each card a special die has had to be made to emboss the silver metal to the card. Which was very expensive to do for a small edition, so the color version will cost more. I doubt I could afford to do it for a 78 card deck. It will be signed and numbered and the signature card has the Golden Dawn titles listed. The borders are a pale cream color, it does not show up well on some monitors but they are not stark white.

The black and white version has the symbols but not in foil. It is made from the original drawings in permanent marker, before I painted them with India ink. It will have an extra card with a diagram of tarot tree of life. It too will be signed and numbered, but the signature card has the color scales listed in case one wants to do a self color meditation.

There also will be a choice of getting a wooden box specially made for the cards, with the card back design wood burned into it with a die brand. The box will hold both versions of the deck. I have been busy staining the boxes then will add a silk lining. The box doubles as a card stand with a slot built in for card display. Or you can opt to just get the cards in a simple wrap with a wax seal.

There is no store set up yet but there will be by sept 29th in the evening (Eastern time, to be determined). I will post exact time and price when I have it settled.

I hope you like them.

All best,

I wonder if this is the correct section to post in. As a Majors only deck Tabula Mundi is complete. It is only the 78 card version still in progress. So I probably should not have posted here. Oh well, regrets are the story of my life!

There are plenty of collectors who would want to buy the majors only, as well as the later 78 card deck. So you are fine posting here :hp

Thanks gregory and truelighth, good to know it was not a faux pas, just me being neurotic

As far as hurrying up and finishing the 78 card deck, well I fully hope to buckle down and do just that. I have not been able to work that fast lately, as the images and technique takes a lot of time. I wish I could clone myself, or quit my job, or both :)

But I have full intention to step it up over the next year!

The site will be live for purchases on September 29th at 8:24 pm.

For those of you that want a chance to win something one of a kind:
http://www.tabulamundi.com/kether-is-in-malkuth-contest/

Also, here are some pictures of the special handmade books that come with the deluxe sets:

http://www.tabulamundi.com/little-books-for-the-decks/

The color-with-foil decks come with a "regular" little white book, and you can add one to the black and white decks for less than a dollar. But the deluxe sets come with books with covers, spines, and fancy endpapers made from art paper.

Good luck if you enter the contest!

My deluxe set was waiting for me when I got home. Good timing, too, as I'd just been teaching a class about the Tabula Smaragdina (Emerald Tablet), so it was great to find the Tabula Mundi there on my desk. I've been enjoying looking through the cards, which are extremely inspiring (and love the smell of the varnished wooden box)!
All best wishes,
Peter

Well, although the Majors only edition(s) are out and available now, there is still a 78 card edition in the works.

Here is the Ace of Wands http://www.tabulamundi.com/new-aces/

I'd posted some other Aces earlier, but as it turns out these will be a completely new deck, and not part of this one. But, I intend to finish this one first!

These decks, and their creator, are a class act in all ways. I am most pleased to support her work (the deluxe box, too, is exquisite, by the way), and I eagerly look forward to the 78 card edition whenever it is ready.

Many of you here might already know this, but thought I'd share it just in case you have not heard, that the 78 card full color version of the Tabula Mundi deck is completed and now funding through Kickstarter.

Hope to see you there and thank you for checking it out!

Also for fun, a video preview of a very elaborate construct that holds an oversized Major Arcana deck:
