This brings back fond memories of my favourite thread on the old AT, concerning all the different editions of this deck.
I know you are focusing on Grimaud and LWBs in English, but have you considered the little BLUE book that comes with Dusserre's repro of the very first edition of Marteau's deck?
It is written by Jean-Marie Lhôte, 80 pages long, and yes it's in French, but it may reveal something more.
It actually starts with a few lines written by Marteau, which he sent to Lhôte way back in 1966!
"Your work seems very interesting to me and you go out in the light of things that have been kept in the shadows, maybe secretly"
